NH Hoteles have over thirty years' experience
in the sector since its beginnings in 1976. City
centre locations and a special emphasis on excellent
cuisine, technology and décor are the
firm's trademarks.To achieve its aim of letting
guests recognise the brand regardless of the
country, it has developed a unique business
culture and a common organisational and procedural
model.
From the outset, the company has constantly
focused on growth and international expansion.
Since 2000, it has added five hotel
chains to its original portfolio and, in just seven
years,has gone from operating 80 hotels to
341. It currently has 49,500 rooms in 140 cities
in 20 countries.
The project of NH Hoteles is to improve
the quality of city hotels in a fragmented market
and,consequently,to strengthen the company's position in the three
and four star hotel category. It is no surprise that 60% of the hotel
chain's guests are business travellers, while the remaining 40% travel
for pleasure.NH Hoteles facilities are generally found in the most exclusive
city locations, city centres and business districts.
Despite recent strong growth in the supply of accommodation,
NH plans to double the number of hotel rooms available over the next
three years. The company aims to have 70,000 rooms by the end of
2009 in order to consolidate NH Hoteles' leading position in the European
hotel sector.
