Founded in 1997, Tecnitoys/Scalextric® was created with the aim of promoting the well-known Scalextric brand in Spain, adding to its great intrinsic appeal as a brand the attributes of technological innovation, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Since the beginning, as well as applying new technology to slot machines, the company has focused its efforts on developing new products linked to the original Scalextric®. This has evolved into marketing its new Scalextric brands, Scalextric the digital system®, Scalextric Compact® and My First Scalextric®.

At the same time, with the Scalextric® brand, Tecnitoys today has a presence in five continents, successfully marketing its products in countries including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, England, Germany, Austria, France, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Japan, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, South Africa etc.

One of Tecnitoys/Scalextric®’s biggest gambles has been the creation of the R&D department, made up of ten professionals from different fields (engineers, designers and marketing experts, among others) and with the collaboration of universities and companies specialising in the development of new products.

Thanks to the know-how of its team and the leading developed technology, Tecnitoys/Scalextric® makes available and licences the use of its digital system for other manufacturers and has become, on its own merit, the leading, highly-advanced, attractive system that it is today. In Barcelona, where the design, the R&D and the marketing of all the products are carried out, Tecnitoys/Scalextric® assembles the departments with greater responsibility and those which generate greater added value for its products, while production is focused in China. The company has offices in Barcelona and Hong Kong.
