Cosentino, founded in Macael ,Almeria, is a family owned business group, one hundred per cent Spanish. Its core business is the design, production and distribution of architectural and decorative solutions based on natural stone. Cosentino's activity encompasses the overall natural stone processing, from stone quarrying and transformation to flat surface installation, including kitchen and vanity tops, tiling and other products.

Cosentino exports 70% of its output.Today the company has a strong international presence. It is the first world quartz surface manufacturer, with distribution in over fifty countries.

In the 80's,Mármoles Cosentino, S.A. supplied marble to the most outstanding tourist development projects in the Costa del Sol (Malaga). Going beyond their success with the “White Macael” marble, they decided to embark on a diversification and international expansion strategy through the research and trading of new products.

Thus, Cosentino has undertaken an ambitious project that resulted in the manufacturing of the Silestone® product in 1989. A quartz surface that adapts easily to new public, commercial and private spaces, it provides a quality choice and solution to 21st century architecture.
